His combination of academic preparation combined with the practical experience of 18 years of directing hospital education departments, nine years as an academic professional at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana, Champaign, and 26 years of Air Force and Air National Guard service as a Lieutenant Colonel give him a unique ability to help physicians apply leadership theory in a practical, productive way.
